BIO

Josiane is a writer, director, producer, passionate about social issues and cultural interactions. Josiane's versatility allowed her to occupy a wide range of positions in Canada, Europe, South America and Africa. In 2016, she developed and directed for French broadcaster TFO, Jeunes d'exception (Amazing Teenagers), a documentary webseries about exceptional teenagers who have distinguished themselves by their actions, inventions and / or community engagements.
Tales of Ordinary Fatphobia, her short documentary produced by the National Film Board of Canada regarding the impact of fatphobia on the mental heatlh of kids and teens, premiered on CBC/Radio-Canada in 2020. In 2021, her 7 episodes scripted webseries Hogtown was launched on the streaming platform of French broadcaster TV5.
Josiane is also in late development of her first feature documentary, Words Left Unspoken and in pre-production of her scripted short film Faux depart. Josiane is also a writer on 3 unscripted kids TV series and producer & host of Strong & Free, an upcoming 6 episode podcast series about Canadian Black History for Historica Canada. She's also in development of Invisible, a short-format narrative series supported by the Independent Production Fund.
